How To Change Your Myspace URL
If you need to know how to change your Myspace URL, then here’s your chance to find out. When you first established your Myspace account, the URL you used might have seemed great then, but what if you hate it now or you’ve just grown tired of it and need something fresh? Chances are you’ll want to change your Myspace URL and there are two ways you can do just that. One is relatively simple, but requires you to sign up for a Myspace.com email account and it only works once. The other solution is a bit more complex, but you can change the URL to whatever you like, as much as you like.
- Change your URL via Myspace. With the advent of the myspace.com email address, you can change your URL in this manner. Just log in to Myspace, click on Mail then go to the right side of the screen and click “Setup your own @myspace.com email address”. The link will take you to a page where you can type in your new URL. The page also checks if your new URL is available. This change can only be done once, so choose carefully.
- Change your URL via domain name service. If you want to change your Myspace URL to a “www.yournamehere.com” address, then you’ll need to register your own domain name. You can register the new address with a domain name service such as GoDaddy.com. After you registered the new URL, you can have it “forwarded” to your original Myspace URL and “mask” it so that the registered URL doesn’t change to the Myspace URL when it is forwarded.
