If you have a computer that you share or just want to know, you can learn how to check computer history for porn so that you can see what someone else has been viewing. This can also be helpful to learn if you view porn on your computer and don't want anyone to know. To check a computer history for porn you will need:
- Computer
- Windows
- Search the history. Look on whatever web browser program is being used (Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc) and click onto the drop down arrow, which is right next to where you put URL's to go to. The history of what pages were accessed will be there if the user has not taken the time to erase their history.
- Look for images. If a user has stored pornographic images on their computer you can check by accessing the computer. Just click on the "start" button and go to "my computer" and click on the "C drive." Click the search area and enter .jpg where it asks for "all or part of the file name" then scan.
- Check the cookies. Navigate to Windows Explorer and look for C:\Documents and Settings\UserId\Cookies. Once you are there you can browse around for pornographic keywords or words that are considered offensive.
Now you'll be able to check a computer's history for porn and see what someone else has been viewing or cover your own tracks if you don't want anyone to know you have viewed pornographic sites or images.
