There are many factors you need to consider when you're learning how to choose a tattoo. Tattoos are a fantastic form of self expression. They can be a memorial to someone you lost or capture bits and pieces of your personality. Tattoo possibilities are virtually endless.

To choose a tattoo you will need:

  • A genuine desire to get a tattoo
  • Internet connection
  • Time
  1. Before you even step foot into a tattoo shop, think about what kind of design you want. Be sure to pick a design that means something to you. It's important to feel an emotional attraction to your design. If you're considering getting any Asian symbols, be sure to be positive as to what those symbols really mean. By thinking about what you want, it will be easier for you and your tattoo artist to work together to design a tattoo that is as unique as you are.
  2. After you get a rough idea of what design you would like, consider what area of your body you want to put it on. Some popular locations include the back, legs, arms and feet. Some more unique locations would be he inside of the ear or the inside of the lips.
  3. Decide on the size you would like your tattoo to be. Tattoo artists can work with you on adjusting the size of your artwork to either smaller or larger, depending on your needs.
  4. If you haven't already done so, find a good tattoo artist. Check around different shops in your areas and look at their portfolios. Find an artist whose personal tattooing style matches what you're looking for. A decent artist will be willing to work with you on your body art.
