An epic beach party is quite possibly one of the most fun things on this planet, but with a great rager comes great responsibility, and knowing how to clean a beach is an important part of beach party etiquette. A simple rule for any type of outdoor party is to always leave a place as clean or cleaner than you found it. That may sound very Boy Scout but hey, there is no reason you can’t be a responsible partygoer. The following article offers a few simple tips on how to clean a beach.

To clean a beach you will need:

  • Garbage bags
  • Sticks with nails
  • Rubber gloves
  • Friends to help
  1. Good habits. You should always try to leave the beach cleaner than you found it. Pick up your trash when you leave. If you didn’t make a mess, feel free to pick up stray trash that doesn’t belong to you. Instilling good habits in yourself and everyone around you is one of the simplest ways to clean a beach. Put simply, there is no need to clean a beach if there is no mess to begin with.
  2. Prepare. If you know you are going to have a lot of trash bring some trash bags and use them throughout the day. It’s easy to clean a beach if you don’t make a mess in the first place.
  3. Organize a beach clean up. This is a great way to clean a beach after a big party or event, and it can also be a fun way to gather up environmentally conscious community members and do something good for the local beach. Simply gather a group of people with gloves and trash bags and sweep the beach in a grid pattern until an area is clean. Poles with nails at the end make it easy to pick up garbage without bending over. Aside from widespread conscientiousness and personal responsibility, organized beach clean-ups are the best way to clean a beach.
