How To Clean A Plasma Television Screen
Need to know how to clean a plasma television screen? If you have a dusty and dirty plasma TV screen, check out these tips on how to clean a plasma television screen. You won't have to spend extra cash on pricey LCD and plasma TV cleaners, and these simple steps are easy to follow. So gather your materials and get started.
To clean a plasma television screen, you will need:
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Water
- A spray bottle or bowl
- Three soft, clean cloths
- Cotton swabs (optional)
- Make sure the plasma television is unplugged and the screen is cool to the touch. Use your dry cloth to gently wipe the screen, removing any loose dust.
- Make a solution of 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup isopropyl alcohol in your bowl or spray bottle. Spray another cloth with the solution or dip it into the bowl, then wring it out. The cloth should just be damp, not soaking wet. If you don't want to make the solution, just use plain water in the same way.
- Wipe the plasma television screen gently with the cloth, removing fingerprints and any other debris. Use the cotton swabs to clean around the corners and edges of the screen. Dust and debris tend to accumulate around the edges.
- Dry the plasma television screen with a clean, soft cloth. Make sure the screen is fully dry before plugging in and turning the plasma television back on.
Never use window cleaner, abrasives, paper towels or any other harsh materials or chemicals on your plasma television screen. The chemicals will scratch or damage the finish. Make sure not to unplug or plug in the television when your hands are wet.
