How To Clean A PS3 Lens
Do you need to clean your PS3 lens? If so, you have come to the right place. The PS3 console lenses are Blu-ray lenses, so they are very sensitive and would need to be cleaned in a proper fashion. PS3's are some of the most expensive consoles out there, so it is obvious you would want your gaming system to stay up to par at all times. Fortunately, all it takes is a little time to clean your PS3 Blu-ray lenses. Your PS3 will be reading discs like new again with these simple steps:
Materials:
- Small, clean cloth
- PS3
- Open your PS3 disc compartment. Once you hit the button to expose the disc compartment of your PS3, the lens should be visible to you. Inspect the Blu-ray lens and look for any dirt or malfunction. That way, you could quickly aim for the problem area.
- Blow on the PS3 lens. Sometimes, when you blow on a lens, it may remove any dirt away from it. When you blow, make sure you blow in a direction that would blow debris away from the console and not inside. You would want your PS3 to have as less debris as possible, to increase the longevity of the system.
- Begin wiping the Blu-ray lens. You would need to take a clean, dry cloth to begin wiping down the lens. Do not wet the lens. Wetting the lens could cause damage to it. When wiping the lens, do not apply to much pressure on the lens. Gently wipe the lens in one direction.
- Test lens. When you are done wiping the lens down, then place a disc in the PS3 console. If the disc shows clear on the TV screen, then you have successfully cleaned you PS3, Blu-ray lens. If not, then repeat steps 1-3.
