How To Clean Teeth
If you want strong, healthy teeth, then you should know how to clean teeth. There are many different ways to clean teeth, and they can prevent the buildup of plaque and cavities - and can boost your confidence.
To clean teeth, you will need
- Toothbrush and Toothpaste
- Dental Floss
- Dental Checkups
- The easiest way to clean teeth is to brush your teeth regularly. You should brush your teeth at least twice a day, using a fluoridated toothpaste (that bears the ADA sign). Spend at least twenty seconds on each part of the teeth, and brush in a short, to-and-fro motion. Spit in between brushing, to remove excess toothpaste from the mouth. It is important to ensure that you brush gently, as improper, violent brushing can lead to injury to the gums. Afterwards, brush your tongue with the backside of your toothbrush to rid your mouth of bad breath.
- Floss after brushing your teeth. Over 80% of all cavities and plaque occurs in between teeth, which are hard to reach using a regular toothbrush. This is why you should floss your teeth at least twice a day, to clean the areas between the teeth. It is a quick and easy way to clean your teeth, and keep your teeth and gums healthy.
- Once or twice a year, it is recommended to visit your local dentist for professional teeth cleaning. The dentist will remove tartar, that accumulates on the teeth even with regular brushing and flossing. Professional tooth cleaning includes tooth scaling and tooth polishing—which is done by using a host of dental instruments.
