How To Clean A Wii Disc
If you notice your Wii game won't play right or it has smudgy fingerprints all over it, you may want to know how to clean a Wii disc. You don't need any fancy solutions or cleaners to clean a Wii disc. It only takes a few minutes and plain water to make your disc clean and shiny again.
To clean a Wii disc, you'll need:
- Water
- 2 clean, soft cloths
- To clean a Wii disc, place a small amount of water on the cloth. Just use enough to make it damp, not soaking wet.
- Take your Wii disc, and wipe with the damp cloth in straight strokes from the center out toward the edge. Turn it in your hand as your work your way around. Don't wipe in a circular motion, as this can cause scratches.
- Dry the Wii disc with another clean cloth. Wipe from the center outward in a straight motion until the water is removed.
- Allow the game to fully dry for a few minutes before inserting it into the console. Trying to play a damp game may damage the system or your game.
Make sure not to use any abrasive cleaners, solvents, cleaning solutions, soap, paper towels, or tissues to clean your Wii discs. They can scratch or wear away the surface of your game. Store your games in their cases to prevent dirt and scratches. Don't touch the bottom of the disc to prevent fingerprints and smudges. Pick it up by the outer edges, or by the center and the edge between two fingers.
