The Wii Dance Mat is used to dance to some of your favorite games. Some of the games that support the dance mat are Dance Dance Revolution, Just Dance, Dance Sensation and High School Musical 3: Senior Year Dance. Dancing on the dance mat is simple, all you have to do is follow the arrows on the dance mat as they come up on the screen. Connecting the dance mat to the Nintendo Wii is just as easy, depending on if you have a wireless dance mat or a wired dance mat.
- Connect the wireless adapter to the USB port on your Nintendo Wii. Afterwards, press the button on the wireless adapter to allow the adapter to sync to your dance mat. Once the sync is complete, you will be able to use the wireless dance mat. If the dance mat does not work, make sure that the wireless mat has new batteries. The dance mat takes AA batteries.
- Connect the wire to the Nintendo Wii via the Gamecube slot. The Gamecube controller slot is on top of the Nintendo Wii. The wired mat is great because it does not use batteries, but in comparison to the wireless dance mat it is a lot more limiting. With the wireless dance mat, you can dance around and not worry about the wire coming out from the Nintendo Wii. With the wired mat, you have to make sure that you do not trip and fall from dancing to heavily. As a result, your Nintendo Wii may break.
