Learning how to cook a green bean wrap with bacon is a great way for the amateur cook to throw together a side dish that looks as if a gourmet chef created it. Those that are big fans of bacon, gourmet chefs or not, understand that there are not many foods or recipes that don’t get better when mixed in some way with bacon and green beans are no exception to this. Create green beans wrapped in bacon and use as a side dish or as an appetizer at your next party.
To Cook a Green Bean Wrap With Bacon, you will need:
- Whole Fresh Green Beans
- Cookie Sheet or a Barbecue Grill
- Rinse green beans. Using fresh green beans will give more taste and will allow for crisper beans which will make for a better side dish. Separate the green beans out into groups of about ten green beans each.
- Cut one pound of bacon in half. Use the smaller strips created by cutting the bacon in half and wrap one around each group of green beans. Place bacon wrapped green beans onto a cookie sheet or the grill.
- Cook green bean wrap with bacon. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees until bacon is at desired crispiness or place on a 350 degree grill until done.
Turn bacon wrapped green beans regularly when grilling. Wait to make the first turn until bacon has crisped enough that it will not fall off the green beans.
Watch carefully when cooking this recipe to keep the bacon from burning.
