How To Cook Ribs On The Grill
Knowing how to cook ribs on the grill is important if you want to enjoy flavorful, tender and juicy ribs. Grilling ribs takes time and patience, but once you take that first bite you will know it was all worth it. Follow these steps to create the best barbecue ribs for you and your family.
You will need the following ingredients:
- 4 lb beef ribs
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Crushed red pepper
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 bottle barbecue sauce
- Wash and remove any excess fat from ribs one hour before grilling.
- Rub ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper. Allow to sit in refrigerator until grill is ready.
- Place the ribs onto the grill over indirect heat and close the lid.
- After about twenty to thirty minutes check your ribs to make sure it is cooking properly.
- Combine apple cider vinegar, water, olive oil, 2 tbsp of garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder. Stir well and place into a spray bottle. This will be for basting. You could also just use apple juice for basting.
- After forty minutes check ribs and spray your basting liquid sparingly over the ribs. Turn and spray both sides.
- Close lid and allow to cook for an additional forty minutes.
- Open lid and spray your basting liquid over the rib again.
- Warm up your barbecue sauce in a medium sauce pan.
- Brush barbecue sauce onto both sides of ribs. Ribs should be almost done when you get to this step.
- Allow to cook for ten to twenty additional minutes.
- Remove from grill and brush additional barbecue sauce onto to ribs.
Serve and enjoy you have just cooked ribs on the grill.
