How to Cope with Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction affects many men, but men can learn how to cope with erectile dysfunction. It is a problem that can be brought on by low testosterone levels, prostate problems, even medications you may take. Erectile dysfunction can be devastating for men. It is an interruption in a normal sex life which can induce other problems, such as depression. Sometimes both the depression and the ED need to be treated simultaneously.

  1. Medications.  There are many medications today, that have had good results treating. Some of the most popular are Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. These may not give you back your normal, spontaneous sex life and erections, but for many men, it is an answer that can at least allow them to perform and give them somewhat of a normal sex life with their partner. 
  2. There are also many products on the market that help with ED. They may only be temporary fixes, but they can encourage you and help you initiate sexual experiences.
  3. Talking about your ED to your partner is another way to cope. Being open and honest will help both of you to know what the other is thinking and feeling. If you have trouble expressing yourself, maybe enlist the help of a counselor to intervene and help initiate conversations.
  4. Patience is always recommended when dealing with ED. Both you and your partner need to learn to be patient not only with yourself, but each other. Getting upset and hasty can only bring disappointment.
