Do you need to know how to cope with libido problems? Libido problems are cause by a variety conditions, such as stress, lack of sleep, or hormonal imbalances. Most causes are easily treated through lifestyle changes, however, some problems require a visit to a therapist or your doctor.

  1. Self-esteem can be a significant cause of libido problems. A good way to improve self-esteem in the short-term is presenting yourself in a way that you feel most comfortable, for example, wearing your favorite clothes or accessories. Long term strategies would include joining a gym and following a diet plan.
  2. Loss of libido and a host of other problems are, in many cases, attributed to lack of sleep. Sleep is vital for the healthy function of all of your body systems, with libido being no exception. Shoot for eight hours of sleep every night and try not to get less than six.
  3. Stress is another common cause of libido problems. Coping with libido problems is often as simple as de-stressing your life. This can be tricky, as libido problems are often quite stressful, but the best approach is put your stressors in writing and decide how to deal with them individually.
  4. See a therapist. There is no shame is seeing a professional who can help you to single out and treat your problems. Therapists are trained to spot problems that the average person would overlook. Knowing is half the battle, and therapists are also there to help treat the problem following its discovery.
  5. When nothing else is working, its time to see your doctor. Although most libido problems can be attributed to one of the problems above, there are some physiological causes that you cannot treat on your own. When in doubt see your doctor rule out these physiological causes, which will in turn help you to single out the problem itself.
