How To Cover Up Stretch Marks
For those who have stretch marks, figuring out how to cover up stretch marks in a convenient and effective way can take time. There are so many strategies for coverage that it may take time before you find the method that is best for you. There are topical treatments like makeup and other types of pigments, and there are other strategies to cover them that don't take as much time.
-
Dress to cover up stretch marks. Use a swimsuit cover up to cover your problem areas, or wear longer shorts or long sleeves to cover up stretch marks. This is the fastest and easiest way to cover them, and you can use items that you already have.
- Use a self tanner to cover up stretch marks. When you darken the skin uniformly, you weaken the difference between the stretch marks and the rest of the skin. To use it most effectively, exfoliate your skin first and then apply the tanner in an even layer.
- Apply make up to the area. Body makeup is made to stay on the skin for a long period without rubbing off on clothes. To cover up stretch marks with makeup, use a thick layer over the entire area. Then, blend the makeup into the skin along the outer edges of the coverage so that it isn't apparent that the make up is there. If the stretch marks aren't on a large expanse of skin, makeup is a quick way to cover up stretch marks that offers immediate coverage.
