How To Cover Up A Tattoo
Why would you want to know how to cover up a tattoo? There are many reasons. Often times, later in life, people find that they do not want the tattoo anymore for a variety of reasons. Though these tattoos are usually permanent–baring an expensive removal procedure by a specialist doctor–they can be covered up by a variety of means.
Items Needed:
- Make-up
- Eye shadow/ blush
- Sterile cloth for recovery
- The first thing that you can try is to apply cover-up. You can pruchase cover-up or concealer from a drugstore or department store. Though it is only a temporary solution that must be reapplied daily, it can still be a simple way to keep that tattoo under wraps. Buy one that is a little lighter than your natural skin color and make sure you blend well. Some specialty makeup stores even carry liquid makeup or cover-up that is specifically made to cover up scars, birthmarks, and tattoos.
- Use a make-up powder. Powder can be used on its own or on top of the cover-up. If it is on top of the cover-up, it will set in the cover up better. Using a cover-up and powder is the best combination if you have no inhibitions about using makeup on your body. If you prefer to use the powder on its own, it must be reapplied every few hours. You can alternatively use a nude, neutral colored eye shadow or blush as well. Using eye shadow or blush is best for darker skinned individuals and is a great way to cover up brighter tattoos.
Though tattoos can be fun, there are many circumstances in which you might feel that they were a mistake. If this is the case, there are options that you can do that can allow you to forget the mistakes of the past.
