2. Select an area to hunt coyote in. Coyote are known to wander  on private lands and become bothersome to the owners. Choose an area that has a downwind, because coyotes are known for having a great sense of smell. Therefore, they will avoid approaching any area where they sense someone or something is there. Have your partner wait in an area behind you. There are cases in which a coyote may catch your scent and track it back to you. If this happens then you can use your rifle to shoot it.
3. You can purchase a rabbit call from any hunting store or online. You can use this device as a coyote call that will draw the coyotes toward you. Avoid creating a large amount of noise before using your call. This can scare off the coyotes before you even have a chance to hunt them.
