By keeping some basic guidelines in mind, you can learn how to defog Smith snowboard goggles. Having Smith snowboard goggles that are free from fog will not only protect you and others from injury, but will also ensure a greater sense of enjoyment on the slopes.

Supplies:

  • tissue
  • clean cloth
  1. One of the best ways to prevent your Smith snowboard goggles from fogging in the first place is to ensure that there is no snow in the goggles as you place them on your head. Examine them closely, as only a small amount of snow inside the goggles can lead to fogging.
  2. Make sure the goggles fit properly. Ideally, the edges of the goggles should fit snugly against your head. If the goggles are too lose, snow and moisture will have an easier time getting into the goggles.
  3. Remove the Smith snowboard goggles from your face. Be sure that you are in a location that is free from other skiers before you do this. If you stop in the line of other skiers or snowboarders, you can cause serious injury to both yourself and others. Pour out any snow that may currently be on the inside of the Smith snowboard goggles.
  4. Wipe down the goggles. Use a dry tissue or another piece of clean cloth to wipe out any moisture. If the air is breezy, allow the wind to dry the inside of the goggles.
  5. Carefully place the goggles back on your head. Make sure that no snow gets into the goggles as you put them back in place.
