How To Do Aerobic Exercise
Ahh, it’s finally time to start wondering how to do aerobic exercise. Good for you, Bub. Even if you are not chubby, aerobic exercise is extremely important for your ongoing health and happiness. As animals, our bodies are designed to move, and aerobic exercise gets your heart pumping. Besides the obvious health benefits from aerobic exercise, your self esteem and energy levels will greatly improve as well. These aerobic exercises are a good start because you can get into them without too much training or gear.
To do aerobic exercise, you will need:
- Athletic, walking or running shoes
- Watch with timer
- Swim suit
- Goggles
- Fins
- Walk. If you are ready to do some aerobic exercise but it has been awhile since you did anything strenuous, start out easy. Walking is simple and you can do it anywhere. Just bring an extra pair of shoes if you are forced to dress nice at work. Walking for aerobic exercise is best achieved when you work it into your daily routine. Like after you eat lunch, read the news, relax a little and then go for a walk. Start off with short distances and slowly work on your stamina. Go farther each week, walk more briskly and before you know it, you are getting back into shape.
- Jog. After your stamina improves, a great way to do aerobic exercise is to jog. Much like walking, you will need to start off slow and work your way up. Buy a decent pair of running shoes and find a field or track to jog on. Start slow. This aerobic exercise can feel brutal until your body learns to adapt. Never run on concrete sidewalks, because your knees will suffer big time. Learn to jog slowly for long distances rather than sprinting right off the bat.
- Swim. Swimming is a wonderful way to do some aerobic exercise. Unlike terrestrial exercises, swimming is aerobic but non-impact. People with various types of body pain like sore knees or backs find swimming the perfect way to do a little aerobic exercise. Swimming is more fun with a little equipment like goggles to help you see and fins to help propel you. If you are not a good swimmer, take some lessons and stay out of natural bodies of water until you improve.
- Move. Doing anything that gets the ol’ ticker beating is aerobic exercise. This could be anything from dancing to screwing. To do some aerobic exercise, all you need to do is not be so lazy. Walk to the store for more whiskey, do yardwork, build a shed, help your friend move furniture. Just keep moving.
Tips:
Learn to stretch and stay hydrated before and after aerobic exercise. Muscle cramps are evil.
Use a watch with a timer to keep track of how long you exercise so you can work on improving the times.
