How To Do A Board Slide On A Snowboard
There is nothing like doing fancy tricks, and learning how to do a board slide or grind on a snowboard is not as hard as you imagine. Board slides are common tricks and showman activities that really should be apart of every snowboarders routine. Learning to do a board slide is a matter of fine-tuning your balance structure of center of gravity. board sliding requires you to leave the comfort of the snow and board over a thinner terrain. This terrain is usually rigid and foreign, which makes the board sliding that much simpler board sliding will take your game to the next level and open you up to all sorts of tricks and board sliding launches. Turning tricks on a snowboard is a gas. The rush of pulling one off and sticking it is a rush unlike anything else on a snowboard. Experience will give you confidence and judgement. What you will need to accomplish this:
- Snowboard (prefer freestyle)
- Snowboarding gear
- Rail
- Intermediate or advanced skill
How to board slide on a snowboard:
- Spend some time warming up. Make a few runs around the area where the rail is. Make sure you are ready and strapped in. Approach the rail at a speed of your liking. Just don’t go to slow or you won’t make it off the rail.
- Turn the snowboard front (toe) side or heel side just as you are about to hit the rail. board slide along the rail, be sure to keep your arms out to help with balance. Best position is to have the rail between your bindings.
- As you approach the edge of the rail, bend slightly at the knees. Dismount and turn back to a downhill position. Stick the snowboard and continue on your way.
