Before you start learning how to do easy skateboard tricks, you will need to gather the following items.
- Skateboard
- Flat Skateable Terrain
- Safety Equipment
Once you have gathered these items, it is time to learn how to do easy skateboard tricks.
- Start with the ollie. The first step in learning how to do easy skateboard tricks is to learn how to do an ollie. This is because most other tricks are variations on the movements you use to do an ollie. To do an ollie, start with your back foot on the tail of the board and your front foot a little bit more than halfway up the board. Use your back foot to pop the tail of the board down and at the same time, roll your front foot up the front of the board. This will cause your board to level out in the air, and you will have successfully completed your first easy skateboard trick.
- Move to the kickflip. The next step in learning how to do easy skateboard tricks is to branch out from the ollie. The first part of the trick is the same, with the same foot position. You still start the trick by using your back foot to pop the tail down, but instead of rolling your front foot straight up the board, you roll it up and off the front side. This will cause the board to not only lift in the air, but flip over and allow you to do a kickflip.
- Move to the heelflip. Again, the heelflip starts out similar to the ollie with the foot positioning and using the back foot to pop the tail. The rest of the trick is like the kickflip; instead of rolling your foot up and to the front, you roll your foot up and off the heel side of your skateboard. Like the kickflip, this will cause your board to flip in the air. Once you complete this, you have learned how to do easy skateboard tricks. Now just go show off these three tricks to your friends.
