Things you will need:
- Screwdriver
- Cloth
- In order to clean your BlackBerry trackball, you need to remove it. The trackball on any BlackBerry can be removed by using a screwdriver to remove the silver ring. From the top of the silver ring, use the screwdriver to pop the ring out of the trackball. Once you remove the silver ring, simply remove the trackball from its position.
- After you have removed the trackball from the BlackBerry, wet your hand and run it over the trackball. Doing this will help to remove any debris that may be sticking to the BlackBerry. Debris on your BlackBerry can be anything from the cheese off those Cheetos you ate last week to dirt your phone picked up when you accidentally dropped it outside. You can also take a rag and gently wipe the trackball with it.
- Now that you have cleaned the trackball, it is time to clean the housing for it. You will notice that the space the trackball once occupied is kind of sticky. Take a cloth or rag and gently clean that area.
- Once everything is looking all new again, pop the trackball back in its place. After you put the silver ring back on the trackball, you are finished. Turn on your BlackBerry and test our your newly cleaned trackball.
