How Do I Find Love?

Have you ever wondered "how do I find love?" Truth be told, finding love can not be easily summed up in a how to article. But there are rules of thumb you can follow to put you well on the path of finding the love of your life. There is someone out there for everyone, and with proper timing and wisdom love will find you.

1. Don't search for love, but let love find you. You have heard it said time and time again, "real love finds you when you least expect it."  Well it's true. When you spend less time focusing on finding someone, you open yourself up more to receive love. Others can sense desperation and it shows in your actions. When you focus on yourself more, you appear more attractive. This opens the door to attract the right candidates for yourself.
2. Self-discovery. The key to finding love is to use your single moments improving who you are as a person. Focus on independence and discovering what makes you happy. When happiness and confidence in who you are radiates from you, people are drawn to you. Focus on doing things that make you happy. Happiness has no choice but  to find you, if you follow this strategy.
3. Be social. Get out and mingle with people. If you make it a point to spend a lot of time outside of your home, you will strengthen your chances of finding love. Visit the places that interest you. In doing so you are opening the door to meet someone who shares one or some of your interests. If you enjoy theatre, go to plays. If you enjoy coffee, frequent coffee shops. The idea is to spend as much time out as possible.
4. Determine what you seek in a mate. If you know what you want in a partner, finding love is much easier. What attributes do you seek physically, mentally and emotionally. Do not settle in these areas. If they are important to you, it goes a long way in finding lasting love. What personality traits are you more attracted to? What interests would you like them to possess? Knowing what you seek in a partner speaks volumes in regard to who you are and who you are becoming.
5. Work towards financial security. Financial stability is more important than ever now. If you show that you care about your finances and working towards financial freedom, you will attract more suitable matches. Some are hesitant to talk to someone who is struggling financially or lacks responsibility in the area of finances. You don't have to be the next Bill Gates, but exhibit responsibility and knowledge regarding your finances.
6. Be confident in your approach. If you feel the need to approach someone you are attracted to, approach this individual with confidence in regard to who you are and what you have to offer. This goes a long way when it comes to whether or not someone responds positively to your advances.
7. Take pride in your appearance. Always be well groomed, and neat when looking to find love. It's no secret that a well put together individual gets more attention. Take the time to wear clean, wrinkle-free clothing as well as practicing good hygiene.
8. Try other available options for finding love. Nowadays you can find love online, through blind dates, speed dating and other non traditional ways of meeting people. Don't be afraid to be open minded.
9. Be positive. Positive people attract positive things. Go throughout you every day life with a positive attitude. Make it a point to wake up every day determined to have a great day and to do something positive. Love is sure to find you if you maintain this mind set.
