Follow these steps to uninstall IE8 if you have Windows 7:

1. First, make sure you close all programs. Then, click the "Start" button. You can find it at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
2. Once you've opened the Start menu, click "Control Panel." Then, click on "Programs."
3. Click on "Uninstall a Program." In the tasks pane, click on "Turn Windows features on or off."
4. A box will appear with a list of Windows features. Clear the check box next to Internet Explorer 8 by clicking on the box.
5. You will receive a warning message. Click yes. Restart  your system, and IE8 will be uninstalled.

Follow these steps to uninstall IE8 if you have Windows Vista:

1. First, make sure you close all programs. Then, click the "Start" button. You can find it at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
2. Once you've opened the Start menu, click "Control Panel."  Find the programs category.
3. Under Programs, click on "Uninstall a Program." In the tasks pane, click on "View installed updates."
4. A box will appear that says "Unstall Update." Click yes.
5. You will be prompted with instructions to remove IE8. Follow these instructions. Restart  your system, and IE8 will be uninstalled.

Follow these steps to uninstall IE8 if you have Windows XP:

1. First, make sure you close all programs. Then, click the "Start" button. You can find it at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
2. Once you've opened the Start menu, click "Control Panel."  Then click "Add or Remove Programs."
3. You will be given a list of programs. Click Windows Internet Explorer 8, then click "Remove."
4. You will be prompted with instructions to remove IE8. Follow these instructions. Restart your system, and IE8 will be uninstalled.

Please note that you cannot uninstall IE8 after you install Windows XP Service Pack 3.
