Soccer is a sport that requires a lot of time and effort in order to be good, but properly learning how to do soccer moves can make you stand out from the group as one of the best players. Soccer moves can range from feints to cuts to extremely fast dribbling. Once you have practiced these moves, you will notice great improvements in your one-on-one performance and your overall ability on the soccer field. Mastering these skills will allow you to move around the field quicker and more efficiently than players who have not done so.

  1. Practice dribbling with as much speed as possible. Being able to dribble quickly will allow you to move around weaker defenders without much trouble. However, you should maintain control over the soccer ball when you are dribbling. A good rule of thumb is to keep the ball within at least five feet of your foot. Kicking it too far ahead will allow defenders to step in front of you and steal the ball.
  2. Learn to do soccer moves that are simple first. You can begin by practicing cuts, which is where you dribble the ball in one direction and then quickly switch directions by kicking the ball the way you want to go and dribbling it in the new direction. Soccer moves such as cuts can be very effective if used properly and can fake out even the best defenders.
  3. Learn to do soccer moves that catch your opponent off guard. Another quick and easy soccer move that is also effective is the feint. A feint is where you misdirect your opponent either by moving your body or faking a kick. You can feint by pretending to go one way and then switching to go the other way at the last second. You can also pretend to kick the ball or pass it in one direction and then dribble in the opposite direction. Keeping your opponent on his toes is the key to success. When you are unpredictable, defenders will be much more cautious, allowing you to dribble much further down the field without being attacked.
  4. Combine your moves together for maximum performance and efficiency. You should practice feinting and then cutting in another direction. If this fools your defender then you should dribble as far as you can as fast as you can while still being in control of the soccer ball. These soccer moves will throw your defenders off and force them to respect you on the field. They will not challenge you as readily and will be much more cautious around you. By mastering these soccer moves, you will have a huge advantage over other players and will see effective results almost immediately.
