When learning how to do tricks on a BMX bike, it is important to practice safely. In most sports, a small mistake isn't fatal, but in BMX, it can be. That is why a BMX rider must take the proper precautions when trying to find out how to do tricks on a BMX bike.

  1. Know what your difficulty level is. Before attempting to find out how to do tricks on a BMX bike, think about what you are capable of. Don't try anything extremely difficult until you have mastered smaller tricks. BMX competitions will bring in great riders from all over. You don't just want to ask any rider how to do a trick who is not skilled enough to teach.
  4. Take safety precautions. When practicing any trick, make sure you have protective gear on. Even the greatest BMX riders can still occasionally fall or make a mistake. These mistakes, even small ones, can lead to serious injuries.
