How Do You Replace Cabin Air Filter G 35 Infiniti
Looking for directions on how to replace cabin air filter on G 35 Infiniti? The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box in your G 35 Infiniti. The purpose of the cabin air filter is to prevent dirt, dust, and pollen from entering your vehicle through the air conditioning system.
- Removing Trims. To be able to remove the glove box on your G 35 Infiniti, you first need to remove the passenger door trim. When you remove the passenger door trim, you will be exposing a couple of plastic nuts. By removing the plastic nuts, you will be able to remove the kick panel, as well.
- Removing The Glove Box. Now that you have access to the glove box, you will need to remove the lower cover of the glove box. This can be done by moving the lower cover in a downward position. With the lower cover removed, you will need to remove the glove box assembly mounting screws. Once you remove the screws, open the door to the glove box and remove the four mounting screws that are located at the top of the upper glove box. With the screws removed, you will be able to drop the glove box of your G 35 Infiniti down towards the floor.
- Replacing The Cabin Air Filter. With the glove box dropped, you will be able to see the cabin air filter cover. Pop the cover off and then slide out the filter. With the old filter removed, you will now be able to insert a new cabin air filter into your G 35 Infiniti. Place the cover back on and then put the glove box and trims back together in the order that they were removed.
Warning:
While you can purchase G 35 Infiniti aftermarket cabin air filters, it is best to purchase one directly from Infiniti. The reason for this is that it is not uncommon for aftermarket cabin air filters to not fit within the blower unit on your G 35 Infiniti.
