How Do You Save Your Game In Little Big Planet
While saving a game may seem like a simple task, how to save your game in "LittleBigPlanet" is, oddly, not as obvious as one may think. During single player, online and even level creation modes, the save systems are a bit different and can cause some confusion and wasted time, if players don't know when the game saves and when it doesn't. This guide will help remedy that and keep you from slaving over a brand new level only to not save and lose your work.
- Single player/online. In the single player, online and story modes, there isn't an option for you to save. You can't simply save anywhere you want and return to the level after a load. Instead, in order to assure your game has saved, you must finish the level to completion. As soon as your Sackboy returns to his pod, the game will save. You know the game is saving by the icon in the lower corner of the screen. Anytime this icon is spinning, make sure you do not reset or turn off your PS3. If you do, you could lose your progress or, worst of all, corrupt your save and have to start all over again.
- Level building. So, while single-player saves automatically, you may assume that the robust level building aspect of "LittleBigPlanet" saves itself automatically, too. It doesn't, however, and this has lead to some initial frustration. The problem is that saving your progress while building a level can take some time, and humanity is a notoriously impatient creature. Resetting or turning off your system when you think it has finished saving will corrupt your level or not save it at all. The only way to be sure is to, once again, pay attention to the running Sackboy in the lower left corner. When he disappears, and your Sackboy is in his pod, only then is it safe to turn off the system.
