Knowing how to download a movie will not only boost your movie collection, but it will save you the headache of sitting in a theater with a bunch of screaming kids. When you download a movie, be aware of the copyright laws. Many of these sites you are using to download movies from do not have the permission of the filmmaker to distribute the movie online. With that being said, downloading a movie from an online site could possibly land you in a ton of hot water.

  1. There are many programs available online that make downloading a movie easy. Membership services such as Real Player make it extremely easy to download a movie you are interested in. An online search will help you to find several programs that will enable you to download movies. Once you have located a program, download it and follow the directions to download a movie. With most of these programs, you can hover over the video of the movie you want and a menu you will appear giving you the opportunity to download.
  2. Many sites that offer the chance to view movies also offer the chance to download the movies. These sites will usually have a link directly below the movies to click on to save the movie. Be careful with these sites. Many of these videos are uploaded by other users and can contain viruses that may damage your computer.
  3. Your best bet for downloading the "Twilight" series without serving five to ten years is to pay. Legitimate sites such as TiVo are now offering members the chance to download their favorite movies for a small fee. Many cable providers are offering the same service on their websites. By downloading from these providers, you are not only ensuring it is legal, but you are less likely to catch a virus this way.

Downloading a movie can be done legally and without damaging your computer. Be smart about it. Don't let that desire to see the newest movie free cloud your judgment.
