How To Download Music

Many are unaware about how to download music, which is easier than is led to believe. There are of course a multitude of methods you may use to download music and enjoy the sounds of your generation. The easiest method to download music would be subscribing to any given website that allows you to download them. They will charge you either per song or on a monthly basis for limited or unlimited amounts of songs. The other way is to download a torrent download program, which pays the artists for rights to their songs through ads displayed on their program that you install. The first method to download music is fairly self-explanatory, however, the second is not. Here is the process to properly use a torrent program. Please note this will vary slightly based on which program you choose to use.

  1. Download and install your choice of many torrent programs, most common ones used are Bit Torrent, BitCommet, or Azure. Some may use Limewire, but many viruses have been found through that program so many have swayed away from that program.

  2. Find a good torrent website; many people use either Piratebay or Isohunt. Isohunt is marginally better because it pulls from multiple other torrent sites allowing for the best connections and the quickest downloads.

  3. Search the torrent website for a specific song that you would like to download.

  4. Download the torrent website. The best place to put the file is on your desktop for ease of finding it. You will not need it once you have finished downloading your song.

  5. Double click the torrent file. This should automatically prompt you to open it via your torrent program. (If it does not work, then you can open your torrent program, and go to file, open, and select the file from your desktop.)

  6. After your music is downloaded, look for where your specific program downloads them to. The most common folder would be in your "My Documents" folder, or inside of the program file under "Downloads". If you are having problems finding your song, do a search of your hard drive for your it. When you find it, look to see where it is located at as that is where everything you download with your torrent program will be located. With "Windows Vista", you can, after searching, right-click on the file and choose to "Open File Location" to go directly to the folder where it is located at.

Now you can sit back, relax and enjoy your favorite bands right from the comforts of home.
