How To Drink Without Getting Drunk
Have you ever wanted to know how to drink without getting drunk? A lot of people seem to be able to hold their alcohol very well, and they go through the night without puking or passing out. If you want that to be you, then read on.
- Have something to eat before going out with friends, or even during your alcohol consumption. This helps 'fill you up' and prevents you from having more alcohol than you can handle. Also, most people feel the effects of alcohol much more when they drink on an empty stomach.
- Before drinking, and between drinks - have water. When you consume alcohol, you feel euphoria - which inevitably turns to a hangover as the alcohol turns into the acid acetaldehyde. Water helps counter-effect this euphoria, and helps flush out the alcohol.
- An easy trick is to drink something other than alcohol. When no one is looking, replace the alcohol in your glass with coke or sprite, or even bubbly apple cider. They look the same as alcohol, and will enable you to drink without getting drunk. Peer pressure plays a major factor in a person getting drunk. Another thing you can do is go to the bathroom and throw away part of your drink, which will also enable you to drink without getting drunk
- Drink slowly. The slower you consume a glass of alcohol, the less drunk you will get. This is partly the reason why shots make you very drunk - as they are consumed rapidly.
