Knowing how to find cheap travel agents is becoming easier and easier these days. Because of Internet travel engines, finding flights and any travel arrangements can be done by using a computer and a credit card. However, having a trip completely planned for you is not a one person job. Having a professional travel agent answer any question you may have and catering to any travel requirement that you may need is always a good thing.

  1. STA Travel. STA Travel company is basically comprised of students helping other students travel. If you are not a student, have no fear! You can at least go into one of their locations and ask them questions about travelling as well as get their suggestions on a place for travel agents.
  2. Credit card companies. Most credit card companies have travel agencies as a part of their customer service. Depending on the credit card you have, the agents usually don't take any type of commission.
  3. The Airline. Usually airlines have travel agents that will not only books flights for you, but also book hotels for you. They can usually get travelers a great, cheap deal on hotels that they are affiliated with. The airline agents do not take any commission for helping you; therefore, they make cheap travel agents for sure!
  4. Tourist Office. Whether you are going out of the country or staying in it, most vacation spots have some sort of tourist office with them. The tourist offices are free for anyone wanting information about travel. They can help you book flights and hotels, as well as help you with local activities.
