How To Find Graphics Card
If the brand new graphics card that you installed is not showing up on your computer, then you need to know how to find a graphics card. It is probably one of the most frustrating thing when you spend big bucks to buy a brand new graphics card, but your computer does not recognize it. Fear not, unless it is a hardware incompatibility, otherwise there is always ways that you can find graphics card.
- Make sure that it is not a hardware problem. Software problems are easy to fix, but hardware problems are not. If your graphics card is incompatible with your mother board, then you will not get it to work no matter how hard you try. To avoid this problem, make sure to double check the motherboard compatibility in the manual. If you are unsure, you can always check with the sales people from a computer store for specifications.
- Missing drivers. This is the most common type of problem for graphics card. Windows has improved over the years in finding correct driver for graphics card, but it is certainly not perfect. You will still need to find a lot of drivers by yourself. The easier way to do it is go on the manufacturer's website and find graphics card driver for your specific operating system.
- Driver is installed, but graphics card is still not working? No problem, this is easy to fix. Go to the "Device Manager" by right clicking "My Computer" and selecting it from the pop up menu. Click the "+" sign next to the the Display adapters tab, and you should see your graphics card. Right click and click uninstall. Once it is done uninstalling, Windows should install it back by itself. That should take care of the problem for you!
