If privacy is your concern, it can be useful to know how to find local sexual health services in a discreet manner. Most sexual health clinics (also known as STD clinics) offer a variety of sexual health services for both prevention and testing for many common sexually transmitted diseases. Such sexual health clinics can be found in nearly any town, but these steps will assist you in finding an appropriate clinic within your community.

  1. Visit the Yellow Pages online. At the directory's official website you can research any business listing you would normally find in your local phone book, as well as listings across the United States. This is probably the easiest way to find local sexual health services.
  2. Enter your city and state into the search bar on the Yellow Pages homepage. Your location may be automatically recognized by the website—if this happens, you will not need to enter it manually (unless you're looking for a clinics located in a different location).
  3. Enter "STD testing centers" in the search bar. A drop-down menu labeled "suggestions" should appear. "STD Testing Centers" should appear in blue text. Select this option, and click it or press Return/Enter. Then click "Find."
  4. Browse the search results for nearby sexual health service clinics. Likely a long list of clinics will appear. Each listing will have a phone number listed, and some entries may have websites, e-mail addresses or other contact information included. Additionally, you can sort the listings for sexual health services alphabetically, or by neighborhood, service rating or distance from your zip code.

For privacy's sake, it may be helpful to investigate a clinic's website before taking the next step and making a phone call. Furthermore, it may be helpful to make appointments from private telephones to avoid compromising callbacks after your visit. You don't want everyone in your household to know you've been searching for local sexual health services, do you?
