Breakups can be hard and after going through one you may not know exactly how to find a new girlfriend. Fortunately, it's not as hard as it may seem. The trick is to relax and remember that life goes on. Take advantage of every day situations, keep your head up and your eyes open. A new girlfriend awaits you in your future, and this article will show you that finding her is simple.

  1. Make sure you are ready for a new relationship. Resolve all your old feelings for a former flame. You will have a better relationship with your new girlfriend if your heart is in the right place when you find her. Also be sure that school, work, and other aspects of your life will allow a relationship to grow.
  2. Identify what kind of girl you are looking for. Create a list of traits you would want her to have, such as looks, interests, intelligence, and ambitions. Also keep in mind what traits you don't like. But remember not to be too picky, this list should be more of a guideline than requirements.
  3. Get out there. Participate in activities that you enjoy and keep and eye out for girls while doing so. This is a good source to start with because you already have something in common with the girls that are doing the same thing you are.
  4. Start networking and making new friends. Not every girl you will talk to will have relationship chemistry with you, but making friends with them may create opportunities to meet a potentially new girlfriend through them.
  5. Be confident. There is a difference between cockiness and confidence, and any girl who is worth of being your new girlfriend will see that. A man who is comfortable in his own skin will attract women because they come off as safe and interesting. Not only will confidence make you more attractive, it will help you pursue a girl you have your eye on. Taking the steps to show, or tell, a girl you like her gives you a better chance of finding one who will return your feelings.
  6. Emphasize your best features. Enlist the help of a female friend to pick out your best physical and mental attributes and help highlight them.  In addition, learn how to downplay your undesirable traits, or use them to your advantage. This will help boost your confidence even more when you know that you look good.
  7. Be yourself. Any girl who is worth your time will like you for who you are and acknowledge all the good and bad that comes with it. You will never find a new girlfriend that has a deep respect for you if you put on a big show.
  8. Relax. Don't stress too much if you don't find a new girlfriend, or even a potential new girlfriend, right away. Sometimes great things take time. In fact, a lot of people find themselves in great relationships after they stop looking so hard.
