How To Fit A Backpack
Want to learn about how to fit a backpack? Ever walk down the block with your backpack on and have to take it off because it was uncomfortable? There are so many different types of backpacks out there, from string backpacks to school backpacks to crossback backpacks. With all the backpacks on the market, it may be a little strange to figure out how to fit a backpack. When you go to adjust your backpack there are a few things you need to take into consideration.
Things you'll need:
- A backpack
- How high or low will you be wearing the bag? Many people place their backpacks very low on their backs, almost to their bottoms. If you're going to have the backpack all the way down on your bottom, you might feel added pressure on your upper back because of the backpack pulling down. If you keep the backpack high on your back, there will be more support, but it may make your shoulders and neck uncomfortable. When it comes to camping backpacks, the bottom strap should be above your hipbone to give you more support for all the things you may need to bring with you.
- One shoulder or both shoulders? When it comes to fitting backpacks, do not put a backpack on one shoulder. This can lead to serious back problems in the future because of the uneven pressure and force the backpack is causing on one side of the body. Always wear the backpack on both shoulders.
- Don't overpack. In order to fit a backpack the right way, you have to make sure you don't overpack. Not only will it hurt while you carry it, it can also be very unsightly. Place the heavier items towards the top of the bag and the lighter objects at the bottom.
As long as you're comfortable and the backpack is not causing damage to your body, you can fit your backpack anyway you like.
