If you're planning on taking up snowboarding, take the time and learn how  to fit snowboard boots, Snowboard boots are what connects you to the slopes when you are gliding across the white snow.  The perfect snowboard boots are a must, they have to fit you comfortably while on your feet and while snowboarding.

  1. Search for the right snowboard boots. The best time to shop for your boots are in the afternoon. The afternoon is when your feet are at their largest. This will prevent you from getting a pair that will be too small for your feet. When snowboarding your feet expands from the heat so you will have the correct size when trying them on in the afternoon.
  2. Decide on hard or soft boots. You may not know which you will prefer until you have tried both on. Hard boots are more popular because they are easier to walk in. Try walking in both and decide which one works for you.
  3. Wear thick snowboarding socks. Thick snowboarding socks are a must, as they will make the fit more comfortable. To put your foot in, loosen the outer and inner laces of the boot. Tighten the laces but make sure your feet has circulation and the boot is tied tight enough.
  4. Walk around to feel the boots out. Walk around the store to test any pain while walking. If there is any pain or stress on any part of your foot then try on another pair of boots until you get the most comfortable fit. Do not settle for an uncomfortable fit because it will interfere with your snowboarding experience.
  5. Strap on snowboard bindings. Attach the binding onto the snowboard using the strap. Make sure to lean forward to make sure you are securely attached to the board. There should be no slipping or lifting out of your boot.
