To know how to fix long distance relationship problems, you need to figure out what exactly is causing those problems. Obviously, the distance factor is an issue, but it may not not mean that moving closer together will automatically fix relationship problems in your case. Follow some tips and strategies to not only fix your long distance relationship problems, but also strengthen your relationship as well.

  1. Communication Problems. With all of the available forms of technology, people still prefer face-to-face communication, which can cause severe long distance relationship problems because of the lack of ability to meet often. Use technology whenever possible, and if you do not already have a webcam, think about getting one. Webcams allow you to talk face-to-face without actually being in the dame place. In fact, in a secure two-way chat, webcams also provide you an opportunity for intimacy. Get creative and take the opportunity when you are face to face to step up with your phone sex skills and add video to the mix. Send real letters and care packages whenever possible. Email, text messages, Facebook and chat are all helpful tools but nothing compares to opening an actual letter or package that you can hold.
  2. Loneliness. Being far away from your partner can cause a strain and problems for your long distance relationship, but it can also cause depression. Keep yourself and your partner happy by spending some time enjoying common activities. While it may seem impossible, consider some tips on how to spend time together without actually being together. Send each other recipes and cook them the same night, at the same time. Call or start a video chat during meal time. Discuss how good the food is, how simple or complicated the recipe was and how your day went. This can strengthen a long distance relationship by making you able to do the things that normal couples can do.
