It's important for everyone to know how to fix problems in relationships. No one will be able to get through life without having problems in relationships. To know how to fix problems in relationships, you first must be clear as to what those problems are. Sometimes you may think that the problem is one thing when it is actually another thing. The easy answer for how to fix problems in relationships is to talk about them and communicate with each other. But, that's harder than it sounds.

  1. Take the initiative. Even if you are annoyed at your partner, try and be nicer and more attentive. Consider leaving her surprise notes and cards to let her know that you are serious about working on this and that you love her. Make it clear to her that you intend on doing everything possible to fix the problems in your relationship.
  2. Admit your mistakes. It's difficult to see what we are doing wrong in relationships. Think logically about what you have done to contribute to the problems in the relationship. Explain that you are aware of the faults and would like to work on fixing them. This will likely encourage her to discuss her own mistakes in the relationship.
  3. Learn to fight fair. Some of the biggest problems in relationships are due to fighting styles. Instead of always accusing her of doing things or saying things, make it clear that you feel that she does certain things. That it is your perception. Don't point fingers and always make it an attack on her. Never, ever name call during a fight. This is detrimental to any relationship.
  4. Seek professional help. Counselors know how to fix problems in relationships. It isn't a guarantee that it will all be solved. But, you will learn some communication techniques.
