How To Fold A Cloth Diaper
Learning how to fold a cloth diaper is not difficult at all, in fact its very easy because there is no wrong way. There are several different ways a cloth diaper can be folded, but choosing the diaper fold that is comfortable for you and your baby is the first step. The different diaper folds can be done with a pre folded diaper or with a regular flat diaper. below are several different ways on how to fold a cloth diaper.

- cloth diaper
- diaper cover
- snaps diaper fasteners
Steps
- Old school method. Lay the cloth diaper down flat and fold in half. From the bottom up and toward the center of the diaper fold the left side of the diaper to the middle allowing the edge to overlap the middle, do the same for the right side. Next fold the cloth diaper bottom corners diagonally, the diaper should have a pointed end. Lay your baby on the diaper and gently pull the diaper up between the babies legs making sure the fit is comfortable for your baby. Pull the wings of the diaper around toward the baby waist and fasten with snap diaper fastener. Put diaper cover over diaper to prevent leaks.
- Flat cloth diaper. Fold diaper in half, next fold the right side of the diaper one third toward center and now the left side toward the center. Now you have a folded diaper. To change the baby remove the soil diaper and keep the diaper cover under the baby bottom, put the clean folded diaper underneath baby and on top of diaper cover. Close the diaper cover and the diaper will fold. Fasten with the Velcro.
- Basic angle wing fold. This diaper fold can be done with a pre folded cloth diaper. Begin folding one third of the diaper up toward the middle. Next fold the sides of the diaper in toward the center. Fold the right side of the diaper over to the center and next fold the the left side over to the center to form a pad. To make the wings of the diaper unfold the side of the diaper at the top just a bit. Put the folded diaper in the center of the diaper cover. Place the diaper cover under baby and bring the front of the diaper cover up between baby legs. Close the side wings around baby fastening to the front of the diaper cover.
Tips: Try keeping a stack of folded diapers available to help with easy diaper change. Wash and dry new cloth diapers to remove chemicals.
