How To Fold Scarf

There is no one way how to fold a scarf. Still, there are several rather common ways to fold a scarf. Typically a scarf is folded in order to wear it in some fashion on the head, around the neck or on the face.

The simplest method of folding a scarf is as follows:

  1. Lay your scarf out on a table or a flat surface.
  2. Fold the scarf in half and line up the edges making sure everything is even.
  3. Fold the scarf in half several more times until you have folded it a small enough size suitable for storage.

This is a method of folding a scarf for wear around the neck:

  1. Fold the scarf in half diagonally to form a triangle shape.
  2. Tie two ends of the scarf around your neck and drape it in front of you, over your chest.

To fold the scarf for wear on your head is very similar:

  1. Fold the scarf in half diagonally to form a triangle shape.
  2. Place the scarf with the triangle pointed up on your forehead.
  3. Wrap the scarf around your head and tie the three ends of the scarf at the back of your head.

For a more sinister look, a la wild western outlaw style, fold the scarf for wear on your face:

  1. Fold the scarf in half diagonally to form a triangle shape.
  2. Place the scarf with the triangle pointed downward over the bridge of your nose, just beneath your eyes.
  3. Wrap the scarf back around your face and tie the two ends of the scarf around the back of your neck.
