Knowing how to forget a girl can be difficult, especially right after a breakup. It can be stressful and overwhelming to always have the girl on your mind. Its sounds a lot easier than it is to do, especially when you are were with someone for a good amount of time. The memories of a girl can seem to last forever but there are ways that can help you get over her.
- Remove any reminders of her. Any pictures that you have of just her or the two of you need to be removed. Get rid of any keepsakes and mementos that you had during this relationship. Getting rid of these items will help you to not have a constant reminder of her.
- Acknowledge thoughts, but then move on. It is okay to acknowledge a thought of a girl, for a second when it comes to your head, but you can't dwell on it, you must move on. When you think of her, after a minute or two you need to stop thinking of her. When you stop thinking about her this will help some of those memories to fade away.
- Keep yourself busy. Focus on other areas of your life. Do activities or a hobby that you love, hang out with friends, or get more involved in school or work. The busier that you are the more it will prevent you from thinking about the girl that you want to forget about. Stay busy as much as you possibly can.
- Remind yourself that she will not be the only girl. Try to remember that there will be other girls in your life to date or even hook up with. Keep reminding yourself of this fact. Remember to have an open mind and to get to know other girls, who knows, a better one might be around the corner.
