If you own an iPod Touch, then you need to know how to get apps on an iPod Touch. This is a pretty simple process assuming you know the basic things you need to do to navigate around your iPod Touch. Remember that this is the legit way to get apps on your iPod Touch and doesn’t involve jail breaking your iPod Touch for free apps.

You will need:

  • iPod Touch
  • Wi-Fi Internet connection
  • Credit Card*

*Only necessary for apps for sale in the app marketplace

  1. Start by getting on your iPod Touch and going to the app store app on your iPod Touch. This is where you go to download any kinds of games or other types of apps that you may need for your iPod Touch or even, if ever possible, your Iphone.
  2. Link your iPod Touch to your Apple account by signing in on your iPod Touch. After you open up the app store you will be prompted to enter your apple i.d. and password. If you have yet to create one, you can do that right from your iPod touch by clicking the “I don’t have an account” option on the same screen where you enter the information. This is necessary if you are going to download any app from the app store.
  3. Locate the app that you want to download to your iPod. If it costs money, it will deduct it from your iTunes account, and if it is free, then it will just begin downloading. After it has downloaded, you can go to your icons menu and find the name of the app where you can open it to activate the new app for your use!
