How To Get Beast Control On KOTOR 2

If you want to know how to get Beast Control in KOTOR 2, your first step is to head to Dxun. This power, officially known as Beast Trick in the game, helps you calm creatures that would otherwise attack you. You can use it in Stealth mode or just get within range of a beast to try it out. 

1. Find your guinea pig. Your first step toward controlling a beast in KOTOR 2 involves finding the right creature. Head towards the Mandalorian sentries guarding the path to the secret base. Walk past them and take the next path that heads north. Follow the path until you reach a clearing with a Boma in it. 
2. Listen to Kreia....whether you want to or not. Time for another lesson in Force powers with your cryptic mentor. Kreia functions as your teacher in KOTOR 2, similar to Bastila in KOTOR. When you head towards the clearing, Kreia will interrupt you and tell you about the Beast Control power. You don’t need to have her as a party member to get this. She'll just invade your mind again if she’s not physically present. She’ll explain how you can temporarily take over a beast’s mind so that it won’t attack you. 
3. Practice, practice, practice. Once Kreia finishes talking, she’ll want you to give Beast Control a try. Target the Boma and select “Beast Trick” from your list of Force power options. The first attempt always fails, but there are plenty of other jungle creatures to test it out on. Also keep in mind that it stops working if you move too close. Unfortunately, Beast Control doesn’t live up to its full potential in KOTOR 2. Dark side powers such as Insanity and universal powers such as Force Wave are more effective if you need to buy some healing time or just want to avoid a fight.
