How To Get Better At Rock Band Drums

It is easy learning how to get better at Rock Band drums. "Rock Band" is one of the most enjoyable party games, that has four people take a various musical instrument and jam it out to different songs. It is believed that the drums are the hardest instrument, since they resemble actual drums so closely, but if you follow the following principles, it will take you no time to master it.

1. Learning how to use the kick pedal correctly can be a huge advantage for you.  A mistake most drummers make is stomping the pedal from a large height, which lets their foot float in the air between the hits. This can cause leg pain, especially on the more difficult songs. You should always try to move your foot as little as you can manage, which is why you should try to keep your foot on the pedal for duration of a song. Simply press down lightly with your foot whenever you need to, and you'll master the kick pedal in no time. For the Hard and Expert difficulties, you should try a different technique, which is known as a 'Heel Up' technique, which basically involves the ball of your foot staying on the kick pedal, while the heel is raised about an inch. 
2. It is as important to know how to use your hands to master songs. Start with the basic songs, and keep practicing until you feel comfortable. For faster rolls and eight-note rides, you would use more of your fingers and wrist and less of your arm. Just flick your wrist, keeping your knuckles facing upwards. For smaller, faster strokes, you should just tap the drum stick downwards using your middle, ring, and pinky fingers. For larger strokes, use your forearm muscles to flick your wrist downwards. Observe your hands in a mirror while you play, and try to keep your non-dominant hand in tune with your dominant hand.
3. Keep practicing. Now that you have the basic techniques, just keep practicing. With time you will develop the stamina and endurance to master songs on Expert difficulty. Start out slow, and keep increasing. Familiarize yourself with playing in triple time or swing time, such as in songs like "Detroit Rock City", and you will be a drumming pro in no time.
