Tired of not knowing how to get on game shows? Well, there is definitely something you can do to solve that problem and start getting your fifteen minutes of fame! Most people who get on game shows are not celebrities, they aren't far from the ordinary and they usually don't have special talents. What do they know that you might not? Well, check out the tips below and you just might learn a little something yourself.

  1. Learn the show. How can you get on game shows when you don't even know what the show consists of? Many television programs, like "Jeopardy!", "The Price Is Right" and "Wheel of Fortune" don't have time to educate you on the ins and outs of the show, so watch beforehand to see just how people make the big bucks. The more you know about the game, the better chances you have of winning.
  2. Study the content. The winners on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" didn't get that way without playing quite a few games of Trivial Pursuit. To get on game shows is one thing, but to master them is another. Take a few courses in content relating to your topics of interest (or more specifically, the game show's interest).
  3. Fill out the application! Different game shows have different applications. Simply perform an internet search for whichever show you want to be on, followed  by the word "application." A good example to type in would be "Family Feud application."
  4. Find out what to expect at a casting call. If you really want to get on game shows, you will read what different people have to say about them. Casting calls happen when your application is approved and basically involve you being interviewed to see how well you would fit in on a particular game show. Once again, the internet is your best friend at this point!
  5. Stun them. Be vivacious, outgoing and happy when you see the interviewers. Producers love a guy who can make them laugh, and especially make the audience happy!

So, find out what game shows are looking for contestants by doing the research! Play to exactly the kind of contestant they are looking for, and who knows? Maybe you will be the next millionaire!
