If you want a cool and distinctive armor that sets you apart from other players, then you should learn how to get the katana in Halo 3. The katana is a part of the Hayabusa chest plate, and it can be paired with other Hayabusa armor for a complete look. Prior to the Recon armor, this piece was one of the hardest to get in the game. The following steps are critical to adding the katana in your "Halo 3" armory.
- Unlock 49 achievements in "Halo 3." This can be done in both the campaign mode and in multiplayer. There is also no requirement for specific achievements to be unlocked. You can check your progress by accessing the game achievements list in the Xbox Live dashboard.
- Accumulate at least 1000 gamer points. If you managed to unlock the 49 achievements, then chances are you will have earned at least 1000 gamer points. You can view how many gamer points you’ve earned by pressing the large X on your Xbox 360 controller. Scroll to the Games tab and select Achievements, then scroll to "Halo 3." The amount of gamer points you’ve earned so far will be located to the right of the game icon.
- Equip the katana in "Halo 3." In "Halo 3," press the Start button on your Xbox 360 controller to access the in-game menu, then select Settings. Choose Appearance and then Armor to select the armor you want. Select Body and scroll through the choices until you see the katana. Choose the katana and then exit the menu.
