Acne can ruin special occasions and leave you with awful memories, but you can learn how to get rid of acne overnight. Acne causes red bumps to show up on the skin. They are commonly referred to as pimples, which are caused by the pores in your skin becoming clogged. Acne is usually described as having a black or white head, where the top of the pimple will look either white or black. Luckily, there are some home remedies to get rid of acne overnight.

You will need:

  • Cream with at least 10% Benzoyl Peroxide
  • Salicylic acid facial wash
  • Foundation and concealer
  • A lot of patience
  1. A lifestyle change. Seriously, you should be washing your face at least two times a day to keep pores nice and clean. A mild facial cleanser with at least a small amount of salicylic acid is recommended to avoid breakouts of acne. If you follow this routine religiously, you will not need to be worried about having to get rid of acne overnight.
  2. Place cream on the offending acne. The best creams have 10% benzoyl peroxide and are available over the counter. These creams are designed to reduce redness and inflammation within four hours. If your body cooperates, your acne should be gone overnight. It is not recommended to use toothpaste or other weird remedies to get rid of acne overnight.
  3. If you did not get rid of the acne overnight, you still have options. You can blend in some foundation and concealer over the acne to hide it for the time being. This is not the best cure, but it is handy for acne emergencies. Sometimes you just cannot get rid of acne overnight.
  4. See a dermatologist. If your acne keeps flaring up, see a dermatologist. You may need medication to clear the acne. Be patient with your body.

Tips and Warnings:

  • Trying to get rid of acne overnight with creams can irritate your skin. Remove the cream if it starts to itch or burn.
  • Lifestyle changes like washing your face twice a day, exercise, and eating right will decrease your chances of an acne flare up.
