After the first initial 24 hours you will want to switch to the warm wash cloth. Apply the warm wash cloth to the eye at least three times a day in a 24 hour period.
- Castor oil massage. Massaging castor oil into the eye can reduce inflammation and swelling. Gently rub the castor oil into the bruised area around the eye taking every precaution not to get the castor oil into the eye. Should this happen, make sure you flush the eye with water.
