There are a few ways how to get rid of blackheads using home remedies. Blackheads are a type of acne-caused skin eruption. When pores become clogged with excessive oil, dirt, dead skin and bacteria, the pore becomes inflamed. This leads to a breakout. When the pus in the clogged pore is exposed to the air, it becomes dark and turns into a blackhead. Blackheads are a common skin problem and effect both men and women at any stage of their lives.
Things you'll need:
- Boiling water
- Lemon juice
- Steam your face. One way to open your pores so the pus can drain is with steam cleaning. Boil a pot of water. After cutting off the stove, lean over the pot, letting the steam penetrate your face. Do this only for a few minutes.
- Wash your face with yogurt. One gentle way to cleanse the skin and fight blackheads is yogurt. Yogurt contains lactic acid, one of the alpha hydroxy acids (AHA). The lactic acid gently exfoliates the face by removing oil, dirt and dead skin, which all contribute to blackheads. Wash your face with yogurt twice a day and rinse with warm water.
- Apply lemon juice. After washing your face, apply a little lemon juice with a cotton ball. The lemon juice has citric acid, which helps to dry out blackheads. Apply lemon juice a few times a day.
Tips & Warnings:
- Harsh acne treatments can irritate the skin and cause more breakouts.
