How To Get Tickets To The Masters

Discovering how to get tickets to the Masters golf tournament can be an eye opening event. The application process for the regular tickets, or badges, has been closed since the year 2000 because of an abundance of requests. Fortunately, you may not be completely out of luck, but be prepared to shell out hundreds if not thousands of dollars to purchase a ticket when you find one.

  1. Contact various ticket brokers. Many Masters patrons who decide not to use their tickets will contact a ticket broker and have them sold to the bidder with the highest offer.
  2. Look on eBay. There have been rare occasions where tickets to the Masters golf tournament have shown up on eBay. You may also find practice round tickets on eBay at more reasonable prices.
  3. Show up at the gate in Augusta. The Georgia legislature legalized ticket scalping in 2001. You will find the ticket scalpers at least 2,700 feet from the gate, but beware that some scalpers have been known to sell fraudulent tickets.
  4. Apply for the Masters practice round tickets. If you are unable to find the regular Masters tournament tickets and would like to see the practice rounds instead, send your name and address information to the Masters Tournament, Practice Rounds, PO Box 2047, Augusta, GA 30903-2047. This will put your name on the mailing list for the practice rounds applications which are mailed each June. Names are randomly selected, and only selected people will be notified by September of each year.
